Peter Pan International Pre-School (for children aged 2 – 5 years) founded in 1992 is located in Rokko Island, Kobe City, has a very high international population. Because of the school location, students come from many different countries including Japanese. The communication language in classroom is exclusively English.
A half day pre-school program in the morning (3 or 4.5 hours), for children aged two to four in the morning and after-school programs in the afternoon for a few children (twice a week only) are offered. Each class is small, up to 10 or 12 children. There is also a program variety of clubs (or interest based programs) such as thinking program, and Educare that run in the afternoons. During summer breaks, an additional program is available.
Because of the school’s location, the students come from many different countries, such as U.S.A., China, India, Korea, Europe, Philippine, etc as well as Japanese children. The communication language in the classroom is exclusively English.
At Peter Pan, children are encouraged to make decisions for themselves. The materials at our school are geared towards helping children to see order and sequence and to think ahead to the next step. A very high priority is placed on developing the whole child, both cognitively (academically), emotionally and socially.
