” I have been reading these wonderful Patricia Polacco books with DS1. The thing that makes them so wonderful is that they are stories from her childhood. They are simple but so meaningful. They are every inch about what it means to be a child discovering for themselves what it means to love and become knowledgeable in this world.

Perhaps, what I am getting at is this:

“The advantage of living is not measured by length,
but by use; some men have lived long, and lived little;
attend to it while you are in it.” – Michel de Montaigne.”
