Okinawa Christian School International was established in 1957 as a school for the children of missionaries living in Okinawa. Facilities: 39 classrooms, two libraries, and three computer labs, full-size gymnasium (regulation basketball court), OCSI weight room & fitness center (left picture below), and woodshop facilities; athletic field . There are also dormitory facilities with spaces for families and singles, this facility houses missionary teachers and dependents. OCSI utilizes standard texts and educational materials used by American schools in the development of its curriculum. Frequently used publishers include: ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International), Harcourt-Brace, Wright Group/McGraw-Hill, and many others. All subjects are taught in accordance with the Expected Student Outcomes (ESO), which are derived from OCSI’s Christian Philosophy of Education. Elementary grade subjects include: English, Mathematics, Bible, Social Studies, Science, Japanese, P.E., and Art.

  1. I really believe on the educational system in Japan. They produce a responsible and independent mind. They teaches well. It’s conspiciously obvious that Japan is the leading country in terms of Technology.. They’d got the best people and market in the Globe.
