A growing international school located on the outskirts of Nagoya, Japan. ICAN-kids at Seasons SunPlaza near Fujigaoka offers classes for students who are two to four years-old. Students who are in kindergarten through eighth grades are at ICAN campuses in Nagakute.
ICAN exists in order to provide an English curriculum based on a Christian philosophy to international and Japanese students. The school is currently a candidate for accreditation by two U.S./International organizations – Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), and is scheduled to have its program fully accredited before the end of 2007.
Instruction is in English. ICAN accepts both Christian and non-Christian students. ICAN is a small school where students can receive increased individual attention from their teachers.
The school foundation is based on a passage from the Bible, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13
The school has fifteen faculty members who have been trained in U.S. – style education and come from five different countries. ICAN is a partner school of the Network of International Christian Schools which operates 20 schools around the world.
