This is a wonderful free program, Stairway to Reading.
The program was developed for students of any age who have already received some reading instruction but who are struggling. However, it can be used (with minor adaptations, which are given) for beginning readers.
The program begins with a 5 to 10 minute diagnostic test (unless you are using the program with a beginning reader). There are a total of nine downloads for the complete program, however only four of the nine are essential to the program:
- Introduction
- 40 Lessons
- Flashcards
- Reading Material
