Embrey International School of Performing Arts (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo) – formerly Tokyo Musashikoyama International School

NOTE!!! Tokyo Musashikoyama International School in Japan has changed its name to Embrey International School of Performing Arts.

The school provides a nurturing environment with native English speakers where English is spoken daily. The school emphasizes learning and appreciating cultures and customs from around the world.
The 2- 6 year olds’ kindergarten class offers Music & Movement (Mondays & Thursdays) and a Headstart Program (Wednesdays) and ESL (Tuesdays & Fridays). Phonics and reading activities are incorporated from the preschool classes which operated between 9 – 2 pm for the 2-6 year olds.
Elementary school activities aim to provide children many firsthand experiences with real things, such as science
experiments, constructions, art projects, etc. (instruction is in English.)
Keeping the same academic classes, the school has added training in salsa dance, acting, and music, including classical piano and guitar, electric guitar and bass guitar, and African drum. Vocal training and violin classes will start from June. Accomplished professionals teach all classes, and a monthly art class commences in May, taught by a local artist.
Regular daytime students may take advantage of these special classes at no additional charge. In addition, classes are now made available after school for adults, as well as other children. Below is a message from the school’s principal:

“Our school is a place where your kid’s curiosity and creativity can be nurtured. What separate us from other is our unique curriculum that couples fun age appropriate academics with performing arts classes that kids can’t wait to come to school and do, which include; musical instruments, acting, dance and vocal training. Besides our daytime program we offer extra-curricular/enrichment after school programs. We even have a scholarship program.

Many of EISPA ‘s graduates go on to attend local international elementary schools such as The American School in Japan, St Mary’s, Sacred Heart, K- International etc.

I look forward to meeting you and you wonderful children and hope you consider joining our creative community. ”
