LOGGERHEAD TURTLE WATCHING
Yakushima Island Loggerhead turtles may be watched at Yakushima island’s beaches, Maehama, Inakahama, Yotsusahama, collectively they are called Nagatahama – which are the largest spawning grounds for loggerheads in the North Pacific.
Yoronto Island (23 km from Okinawa Island) but still officially Kagoshima Prefecture, has beaches with elegant cottages. Access: Loggerhead and green turtle-watching point, a 5 minute boat ride from Chabana Port.
